Featured Poker Streamer – Alexis Lim

The world is slowly changing. The pandemic has affected poker in so many ways than one. Major events have been canceled or transferred online. Live poker coming back is still a question in a lot of countries.

A new normal has emerged, and poker players have adapted to a new way to reach out to their supporters.

A lot of good players started streaming their games for their supporters.

We love some of the streamers as they make an effort to try and teach new players what poker is all about, or offer tips on how certain hands can be played.

So here we are to feature them in a series. first one is Alexis Lim

Alexis “shotibebe” Lim

Alexis Lim hails from Cebu is a good player. However, due to having a similar name. Most players are familiar with the other Alexis Lim.

However, Shoti has carved a name for himself and is currently rank number 27 at the GPI. The last time he won on a live event was the Red Dragon main event at Okada Manila, where he finished at 34th placed.

The last major championship win was the Pokerstars Live Manila Super Series 11 main event, Held just last year.

Due to the pandemic, people in the Philippines can not freely travel due to quarantine reasons. Players from Cebu have slowly adapted and are playing actively online.

He wanted to share his passion and help other people learn more about poker. That is why this August 2020, he started streaming his games on Facebook.

People interested in watching his game can look for him at Facebook by typing “shotibebe” or click this link.

His streams are very friendly and mostly in Cebuano. Players who are interested to learn more about poker but want a friendly stream can tune in.

He entertains questions and is very welcoming to new people who are interested in poker.

When we asked him about what made him interested to stream his game. 

“I want to share my knowledge and experiences with poker. I want players to see that poker is fun and you can do it at the safety of your home. “

“Poker is fun and streaming is fun. I can record my plays and learn from my mistakes while exchanging ideas with other players. I want to share my passion for the game with new aspiring poker players. I do hope I can inspire new players to play the game.”

On his message to other poker players especially due to the pandemic.

“I wish people to stay strong during this tough times. This one will pass.

If you are interested in poker, You can come and watch me play on Facebook. We can chat, and I can offer some tips and advice while I am playing. Let us harness our skills by playing online, and hopefully, we can meet together on the felt soon.
