Surviving Isolation Part 2 – The Mental strain

Some countries are now in lockdown while there are others who are into weeks. depending on which country some countries are very strict while some others are only mild travel advisory.

Lockdowns are imposed in order to slow the spread of the virus. The coronavirus has wreck havoc in the physical world that extreme measures are being imposed on some countries.

As each country has there own preferences on the length of the lockdown.  there are those who are feeling the mental strain of being confined. we are here to help with some tips in order to make the lockdown more manageable. we have released an earlier article that offers some tips.

Surviving isolation

Here are some more tips to handle the mental strain of people being isolated.

Connect to a group but remain positive.

Humans are social animals, we have an inept desire to connect with people. In these very difficult times. connecting with the right group is vital. but look for groups that have positive outlooks. there are a lot of social apps that can help you stay connected with people but we would stress that be careful with the group.

Look for a positive group and likeminded people. having something in common makes connecting to people easier. However, maintain with groups that look for positive outlooks and are looking forward to life.

Negative people can drain you. Avoid groups who have a negative outlook to maintain your own positivity. 

Manage your time and bank roll if you are playing online.

Poker players are now playing online as there is a surge of online poker activity. However, as we are still unsure how long before our normal lives can return. jumping into an online platform can be good and bad at the same time. The key is to control and maintains your discipline. 

Make sure you have breaks in between.

Read and Study

Whether your playing online poker now or some other things. the world of technology has in fact been a great boost to human beings.

One can easily pick up a skill like cooking if you just look online. taking the time to learn more skills during this lockdown can help you when the world opens again.

Exercise

Some players may not have a good space. however, there are workouts specifically for office and those in quarantine.

Maintaining your body is important in order to remain healthy.

Google up some of the exercises and you may find one that fits you.

Think Positive and remain positive

Although each of us may be undergoing different trials. We must remain positive in this ordeal. Trials are part of life and essentially this is not your trial alone but the whole world.

Remaining positive is key in order to be able to return to our routines when the lockdown finally ends.
